This hands-on study introduces the students to bush tucker and the ways in which the Aboriginal people used resources available to them from Mother Earth.
Aunty Joycelan Williams will lead the activities on the day including :
discussions about Wiradjuri traditional food, medicine, tools and weapons using plants in the area
sharing a Dreamtime story written and illustrated by Aunty Joycelan
visiting and exploring the Wiradjuri campsite (weather dependent)
looking at traditional tools and weapons, their use and the processes involved in making each one
creating an Aboriginal artwork
Aboriginal Education Studies will now require schools to pay the full fee for the service of an Aboriginal Elder delivering authentic experiences. The cost will be negotiated at the point of booking enquiry - and negotiated in conjunction with our Aboriginal community.
