The Stage One program takes students on a journey through time from the beginning of life on Earth. Students will investigate and observe :
- what a palaeontologist does
- real fossils and how fossils are made
Part of the day involves a 'fossil dig', where students take on the role of a palaeontologist at a site on the grounds. They will finish the day with some paleo art to take back to school.
This study aligns with the Primary Connections unit of the same name.
Please note: There can be only one class booked for a day visit to REEC due to the limited 'dig space' in our palaeontology pit.
Due to weather conditions, this study is best booked for terms 2 and 3.
