Friends or foes?

Students explore the special relationships between plants and animals.

They will investigate terrestrial macro-invertebrates (ants) and record the abundance and diversity of species present with a focus on adaptions. Students will :

  • collect and observe mini-beasts in water and on land
  • collect and observe flowers
  • investigate adaptations of invertebrates and plants using microscopes
  • investigate lifecycles
  • use ICT to collect and process scientific data
This study aligns with 'Friends or Foes' from the Primary Connections Series.

Our Friends or Foes? study is best booked in spring and autumn months given the abundance of pollenators and flowers!
