This program explores some of the following 'Big Ideas':
- Energy is power deriving from physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines.
- Energy can exist in a variety of forms such as mechancial, chemical, thermal or nuclear, and can be transformed from one form to another.
- Energy is measured by the amount of work done, usually in joules or watts.
- Non-renewable energy resources, like coal, nuclear, oil and natural gas, are available in limited supplies. This is usually due to the long time it takes for them to be replenished. Renewable resources are replenished naturally and over relatively short periods of time.
This study aligns with "Essential Energy" from the Primary Connections series.
