Kreative Koalas is a schools based project learning initiative, engaging teachers and students in sustainability programs.

This year we are fortunate enough to be working alongside some local schools, promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals within their communities.

The Year 6 students at Ladysmith Public School are looking into the health of their local creek and the impact of salinity in their area. The students discovered an old piezometer installed in their playground and were able to use it to gauge the local depth to the water table.

On a gorgeous but frosty morning, the girls did some soil and water tests in their playground and around the Ladysmith community.

Introducing our NEW drinking fountain & water bottle refill station!

In 2020, REEC was fortunate enough to be a successful recipient of a Riverina Community Grants Program in the cateogory of Community Facilities and Projects!

Our lucky students, staff and visitors can now be refreshed, with clean, cool filtered water!

Recently, a young boy filled his drink bottle and was actually heard saying, "this is very exciting!!! 

We think so TOO!

Key Changes/Annoucements

  • NSW Health have advised that communal water fountains and/or bubblers in NSW schools can now be turned on.  These facilities can remain operational, closing only if there is transmission of COVID-19 in the community.  Students should continue to be encouraged to bring water bottles from home.
