Students from Willans Hill School were doubly lucky to engage in learning activities at REEC on Wednesday, 1st May. Also on site on this day were the wonderful recruits from the Army Indigenous Development Program (AIDP).
The Army have been utilising our traditional Wiradjuri campsite on a regular basis as a part of their course requirements. Recruits took time from their planned activities to engage with the students, and together they worked to construct two beautiful gunyahs on site.
The day was an overwhelming success - students and teachers from Willans Hill, army recruits and REEC staff all reported that they had a fantastic day.
Thanks to staff and recruits from the AIDP for your time and energy that you invested in the learning of our students! We wish you all the best for your future.
