Primary excursions
The Riverina Environmental Education Centre offers a range of programs suitable for students in all Stages. Programs are KLA based, the emphasis being Human Society and Its Environment, Science and Technology, Environmental Education and High Potential Gifted Education.
Programs and activities support the DoE Environmental Education Policy and outcomes contained within the NSW Education Standards Authority syllabus documents for the Australian curriculum.
REEC has a range of programs that have been designed to complement the learning outcomes being completed in the classroom.
All programs are linked to the NSW curriculum
What we offer
Each primary learning program includes:
- fun, hands-on learning outside in nature
- activities that link to science, geography and history
- learning about caring for Country, sustainability and Aboriginal cultures
- tasks that help students think, ask questions and work together
- optional classroom activities before and after the visit
- teachers who are trained and understand the primary school curriculum
- the option to change activities to suit your students’ needs.
