Facilities
Our centre has a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces to support learning in nature. We offer safe and comfortable areas for hands-on activities and group work.
Our local environment
Our centre is based at the Wagga Research Station, and we have local access to Box gum grassy woodland forests, River Red Gum Forests, Soil conservation station historical erosion and soil study sites. Locally we utilise the local communitiy ecosystems to explore local wetlands, salinity and regenerative sites. The grounds of the Wagga Research Station are home to the endangered squirrel glider community and we monitor their population onsite through a nesting box and camera program.
These natural spaces are part of our everyday learning. Students can explore:
- walking tracks and bush trails
- habitats for native plants and animals
- creeks, wetlands or rivers
- places with cultural or historical meaning.
We use these outdoor spaces to help students learn about nature and sustainability.
Our learning spaces
We have both indoor and outdoor spaces for learning in all kinds of weather.
At our centre, we offer:
- outdoor areas for hands-on activities
- indoor classrooms for lessons and group work
- access to walking trails and nearby bushland
These spaces let students learn by doing and connect with the natural world around them.
